Charissa Anunciado

Charissa Anunciado has been with the Pearlman Lab since Fall 2019 as an undergraduate researcher through the Bio Sci 199 Research Program. For the 2020-21 academic year, she participated in the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) and presented at the 28th Annual UROP Symposium on “The Role of IL-1a in Cellular Recruitment during Pseudomonas Keratitis.” Charissa currently continues to work on this project as a lab technician.

Charissa graduated from UC Irvine with a B.S. in Human Biology in 2021. During her time at UC Irvine, she was Co-President of Pre-SOMA at UCI and Internal President & Founder of We (Skin)care at UCI. She worked various jobs at Disneyland, boba tea cafes, and outpatient clinics throughout her five-year undergraduate career. She will be applying to medical school during the 2022-23 application cycle and has aspirations of becoming a Hematologist-Oncologist.
