Karl Liboro joined the lab as a graduate student in 2021 through the CMB gateway program. He obtained his BS in Microbiology and MS in Biology at CSU Los Angeles in 2017 and 2020, respectively. At UCI, he is currently a second-year graduate student in Biomedical Sciences.
In the Pearlman lab, Karl is assisting Martin Minns on his project studying the role of Gasdermin D in Pseudomonas infections. He is also working on an off-shoot project studying the role of Gsdermin E.
Karl spends his free time playing videogames, watching anime, and imbibing in educational content on YouTube.
