Lecture Series

The Presidential Chair in Social Sciences to Advance Sikh Studies Lecture Series is dedicated to bringing both prominent and emerging scholars to the Department of Anthropology at UCI to speak about their scholarly work and engagements in the inter-related fields of Sikh/Punjab/diaspora studies. The lecture series is intended to support the flourishment of an intellectual culture among Sikh/diaspora communities and the broader UCI community; it also supports the development of critical social science and humanities perspectives among Sikh/Sikh Studies scholars in the Western academy.

Invited guests will speak on topics that inform a contemporary, theoretically-driven, and interdisciplinary Sikh Studies, with a particular focus on anthropological and ethnographic engagement. Please contact Professor Anneeth Kaur Hundle at ahundle@uci.edu for more details.
