Extra Jetpack Sidebar Widgets

As of September 26, 2022, Website tracker tools are no longer allowed on UCI Health and School of Medicine websites. If you are using Jetpack, Site Stats are ON by default. Learn how to Deactivate Jetpack Site Stats. Other features of Jetpack will still be available.

As part of our Jetpack features series, learn how to enable extra sidebar widgets to extend what your site can do. From Twitter timelines to a countdown for a big event, using Jetpack widgets is an easy way to add extra functionality.

Things to Know

You will need to activate and set up Jetpack to take advantage of this feature.

Enable Extra Jetpack Widgets

  1. Go to Jetpack > Settings
  2. From the Writing settings, scroll down to Widgets
  3. Toggle ON “Make extra widgets available…”

Available Jetpack Widgets

After you have enabled the extra widgets, you will see the following widgets available.

Blog Subscription

Invite readers to subscribe to your blog. They can get an email every time you publish a new post.

Contact Info & Map

Add contact information including address, email, and phone number. You can also add a map, but need to set up a Google Map API.

Set up a banner to explain the site’s use of Cookies and consent to continue.
