Relaxed hands are generally a sign that I am full. I also might stop sucking, appear drowsy, and extend my arms and legs. However, you should note that tightening my lips and closing my mouth are also signs I may be full.

In contrast, when I am hungry, I will open my mouth and search for my caregiver. I also might have my fists may be clenched or my hands might be grasped under my chin. I may have flexed arms or put my hand on my stomach. But when I am very hungry… I will be VERY fussy and cry!
