Our expectations for discussions and interactions: A core principle of the First Amendment is to establish environments in which open and reasoned discourse necessary for a democratic society and its deliberative processes can thrive. In line with this ideal, our symposium will be open to the public and free of charge, but it will take place in a public university setting, in which curiosity, skepticism, and impassioned reason are encouraged. Our goal is to provide an opportunity to foster an open discussion on controversial topics. Please Note: We reserve the right to remove anyone from the symposium if they gratuitously and without analytical rigor use inflammatory rhetoric or hate speech or if they are spamming the chat. We thank you for your respectful participation.
