We are an interdisciplinary group of professionals whose mission is to address the changing health needs of older adults and those who care for them.
The SeniorHealth Center was among the country’s first patient-centered medical homes for geriatric care and a Center of Excellence in Elder Abuse.

Chief, Division of Geriatrics
Welcome to the Division of Geriatric Medicine at UC Irvine. We are a thriving group of clinicians, educators, and researchers whose mission is to improve the health and well-being of older adults in Orange County and beyond. As the only academic health system in Orange County, we are dedicated to our communities, and take our mandate seriously to serve through innovation and compassion. We are the largest group of board certified geriatricians in Orange County and graduate fellows each year, many of whom stay to live and work in the OC. Our training programs serve to educate interdisciplinary learners in medicine, nursing and pharmacy, locally and nationally, and our scholarly impact is felt nationwide. Geriatric care done well informs the care of everyone.
