Dementia Care Aware
Dementia Care Aware is a new state-wide initiative led by the University of California, San Francisco in partnership with University of California, Irvine that provides training, tools and resources for primary care providers (PCPs) on conducting cognitive health assessments. The initiative offers training opportunities through ECHO sessions, webinars, podcasts, and region-specific events.
Dementia Care Aware is designed for all PCPs and their healthcare teams. PCPs who serve Medi-Cal patients 65 and older who are not also on Medicare can now bill for conducting a cognitive health assessment after completing this Dementia Care Aware online training.
