Survey and website discussion! Potential projects – digital portal to connect hallways in Bren? fix up the bus stops?

  1. Money
    • Current Accounts Balance: $1042.04
    • Nothing to report
  2. Old Business:
    1. Survey – discussed a few revisions. Should be ready to send out this week.
    2. Faculty & Undergrad Outreach – going well.
    3. Website – up and running on the UCI WordPress install. We should add some content this week and make it public. Need to think about what should move over to the blog & what should stay on the wiki. Need to get a calendar.
    4. Project Ideas
      • Bus Stops
      • Portals or some way to connect the different hallways
  3. New Business:
    • Coffee hour: keeping this the same as last year, every other Wednesday at 3-4pm.
  4. Tabled
    • Scheduling meetings for the fall – We want to get input from students, but its too early. Send out an email in August for this. Tuesday or Thursday are probably good days. Need to coordinate with grad student talks.
    • Social activities list
    • Register IGSA with AGS (can’t do until xxx)

    • Jed: get emails of incoming M.S. students
    • Ellie: make final survey edits. Send to students
    • Ellie: put meeting minutes on the website
    • Ellie: send help desk email about igsa board mailing list
    • Ben: keep working on content for the website
    • Ben: reach out to grad student talk series people
