Starting The “Our Time Matters” Movement

The Time and Accessability of the American public is of Great Importance, and we will no longer be subject to Government, Businesses, and Institutions that force us to deal with incompetent and confusing Phone Trees and Computer Forms.

We insist on speaking to actual Humans, not Artificial Intelligent Imposter Computers.

The fact that we are wasting ever increasing daily hours of screen time on our phones and portables doing tasks that can be accomplished in minutes speaking to actual people is a total waste of our time, for a measly gain in profit to businesses.  Actually, it is often costing them more, since all computer systems cannot manage the variability of human circumstances and of answers to their appeals.  Correcting all of the errors is an added burden.

We pay for our Government services!  Even if it costs the government more to provide easier services, that is their responsibility.  It is even in the preamble to the constitution, which makes no mention at all of phone trees, robotic services, fake humans, and artificial intelligence.

We see daily examples of government programs which only accomplish a small fraction of their goals, mainly because the neediest Americans are not computer adept, do not have access to computer systems, and do not have the time to play around with them and phone trees of endless branches that actually resemble the complexity of large, old trees.  Accessibility is a Requirement of Government Services, not just a vague goal.

Marches are great, but only open to those with great stamina, who have the time and not child care responsibilities to participate in.  Also, it takes great time to create signs, and strength to carry them.

Instead, one can choose to favor companies which deal with people human to human.

For government services, one can always get on your laptop and go to your representatives official website, and enter your complete identity, just to start.  Then, you have to choose a category which means that they are already compartmentalizing your complaint, so that they can respond with a predrafted response, rather than reading it in detail.  I guarantee that complaining about their method is not one of the options.  If you are really serious, I suggest sending a campaign donation for $0.00, made out to “you will get an actual donation when you provide a real person for me to talk to.”  However, donations are usually done by checking a box, without a person to talk to or to read anything.  They also will pursue you with notices for more donations for the rest of your life.  Not to mention requests from candidates throughout the United States, by mail, by phone, by messages, and by texts.  “Neither snow nor rain nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”

(The reply STOP will turn off the texted political messages, I have discovered.)

In the US, the robotic treatment of humans is almost complete.  Scream now, or forever hold your peace.
