Total Covid Deaths and Percent Reported for the Most Populous Countries
The WHO is working on a report on Covid Total Deaths in countries in contrast to the Reported Deaths in many countries. It is based on the IHME report, but is so far blocked from release by India. However, I looked up the top twenty in population, to report on their Total Deaths, their Percent Reported as of April 18, and the Total Death Rate per 100,000. That is reported in the table below, starting with the Population Rank, the Country Name, and their Population in millions. All of this is from their run of April 7, 2022, but I start on their projection for the Percent Reported for the date of April 18 to make it current, and use their latest projection date of August 1, 2020 for the Total Deaths and Per 100k columns. Fortunately, there are very few projected Covid deaths in the future.

If you don’t like the results for your country, please remember, I am just the reporter.
While Mexico and Russia have the worst rates per 100,000 in the top 20 of population, the US is next, just ahead of Brazil. That is not good, considering that we had the best vaccines, and open media knowledge. We were plagued by politicization, malinformation, and health care inequities, though.
The nearby date of April 18 is used for the reporting ratio, since we do not know what the future holds. The Total Deaths column and the Deaths Per 100,000 column are from the projections for August 1.
More details are shown for 10 countries in the previous article, and for China in the article previous to that.
