As of August 1, the projection is 3.620 million total deaths, while the reported deaths will be 2.450 million, or 67.7%. So the reported coronavirus deaths is about 2/3 of the total, or the total deaths are about 50% higher than the reported deaths. The overall projected total deaths per 100,000 is 400.

Russia stands out as among the worst, with an enormous land mass, but just about 1/6 of the population of the region. The Eastern European countries also have the worst total death rates.

Overall, 75% have been infected at least once as of April 4. Central and Eastern Europe have not had a BA.2 surge yet. The overall infection detection rate is 26%.

Overall, 63% in the region are fully vaccinated. Overall mask wearing is 32%, and mobility is just 3% above normal. 20 countries have 70% or more fully vaccinated, but this is less than 50% in Eastern Europe.
The Russian vaccine, Sputnik-V, is only 44% effective in preventing infection, and only 67% effective in preventing severe disease.
