May 11, 2018, would be the physicist Richard Feynman’s hundredth birthday. I gave a talk to OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) on him in 2012. I never referenced it appropriately on my list of topics. But to pay homage to his wonderful contributions to physics, I am linking to it here again. “Richard Feynman, A Life of Many Paths“.
Feynman’s colleague at Cal Tech, and collaborator on weak interaction theory, was Murray Gell-Mann. I also gave a talk on him, which now turns up blank, so I am reposting another copy. It is titled, “Murray Gell-Mann, Quarks and QCD, A Life of Symmetry”.
