The Bart of Vengeance Reigns Supreme

The Bart of Vengeance Reigns Supreme

According to Senator Collins, Judge Kavanaugh has been “exemplary in all things”, apparently, except when he had to appear before the Judiciary Committee in a job interview for the highest judicial job in the land.  Really?  2400 Law Professors petitioned in a letter that Kavanaugh did not have the judicial restraint or temperament legally required for the Supreme Court.

So, the party is over my friend, except that conservative justices have actually dominated the Supreme Court for the last 50 years.  For Kav, the party is just starting up.

I really feel sorry for Justice Ruth Bander Ginsberg, the defender of women’s rights on the Supreme Court, to have to face Kavanaugh every few days, and to have to argue for women’s rights, starting back from the originalist Constitutional days.  I also feel for the other two women Justices  Sonya Sotomayor, and Elena Karan, who may have to deal with Kavanaugh for two more decades.  And the other liberal justice, Stephen Breyer.

The most conservative justice was Clarence Thomas, who used to follow Justice Alito.  Now he will not be the most conservative, but he may just start following Kavanaugh, which makes Kavanaugh doubly dangerous.

Trump suffers from a chronic case of Buyer’s Remorse.  The sex charges have brought a lot of retroreflection back towards Trump’s forgotten twenty one alleged assaults or affairs, plus the illegal undeclared hush money related to the Presidential campaign.

The blatant choice of Kavanaugh as the only justice around who believed that the President was above the law, must have been even more embarrassing this week when The NY Times ran its longest report ever showing that Donald and his father Fred used every trick in the book to avoid paying over a hundred million dollars in taxes in transferring Fred’s money to Donald.  And that Donald was the opposite of the self-made-$10 billionaire.  Forbes has now dropped him down to $3.1 billion, and number 259 on the ranking.  But it was only a small fall from 248.  But with Kav, at least someone in law enforcement will have Trump’s back.  Some say that Kavanaugh also believes that Trump can fire Special Counsel Mueller who is investigating the Trump Campaign’s collusion with Russia.

My speculation is that Brett Kavanaugh has gotten drunk and become his Mr. Hyde, Belligerent Bart, so often in younger days, that he could adopt that psyche even without alcohol when he wanted to deal aggressively with his Judiciary Committee defense.

I think the Court will soon learn not to take any cases concerning alcoholism, AA, or liquor restrictions.  Otherwise, opera lover RBG may have to listen to a repeat of Kavanaugh’s recitative of 29 lines of “I Love Beer” that he gave to the Judiciary Committee.

Justice Clarence Thomas is famous for only asking one question during his 27 years on the court.  But we can expect Bart to ask every woman lawyer if they have ever gotten knock-out drunk.

An unwritten story is still all of the White House days of coaching of Brett into Bart, before his injudicious defense appearance.  Also, the White House plotting to limit and clean up the FBI background check.  This may have been held very controlled within a tight inner group, so it may not leak easily as other White House behavior has.  However, a Congressional Medal of Honor is due to whoever thought up making only a single copy of the 1500 page FBI report available, only for an hour at a time, which was available only for one day before the cloture vote.

Oh well, no use shedding tears now.  Hold them for case after case of Kavanaugh’s Vengeful Rulings.
