Dear Donald, you should have resigned at the Christmas star, as I recommended.
I haven’t written politics in a while, since whatever there was to criticize was topped in the next day or two, faster than I could have kept up. There were also too many political articles about you to read, and everything you did was well covered and criticized everywhere. So I will only give the shortest outline.
Since Christmas you have only goofed up everything, despite warnings from me and the Ghost of Christmas Future.
- You finally were overridden in the military budget that you vetoed without getting your non-military absolute constraint on free speech by social media companies, making them liable for anything said on their media. You would have been the first one banned, since everything you say was lies and rabble rousing.
- You delayed the $900 billion pandemic aid bill by one day too long, costing the unemployed an extra week of unemployment insurance and making them wait for states to restart the bureaucracy. You never got your $2000 aid, but embarrassed all Republicans who voted against it while the Democrats passed it.
- You called the Secretary of State of Georgia on a taped call, and asked him to lie that he made a mistake and found exactly the number of votes to give you a one vote win. Like that wouldn’t raise suspicions. That is impeachable and punishable under Georgia law, which you can’t be pardoned for.
- You backed the questionable Republican candidates for the Senate in Georgia, and they lost anyway, possibly because you insulted the state by claiming voter fraud there and dissing their elected Republican governor.
- You called for a January 6, election confirmation day, wild demonstration in Washington D.C.
- You gave a litany of false election cheating charges to the demonstrators and told them to march on the Capitol, without any control over them.
- They assaulted the Capitol, and stopped the same hearings on voter rumors that you had coerced representatives into debating without any evidence. Only seven Senators voted for you, ruining the careers of the 13 that you had initially backing you.
- Only voting in Arizona and Pennsylvania had time to get examined, because no Senators objected to any other state.
- You had to pro forma try to condemn their actions too late, but couldn’t help praising them. More charges of inciting a riot, which is also probably a local charge.
- This riot has now taken four lives.
- You had to call out the National Guard, something you did or threatened to do for cities where there were Black Lives Matter demonstrations, to a riot that you essentially created.
- You threatened and denigrated VP Mike Pence, who will have to pardon you when you finally do resign, and when he possibly becomes President in four years.
- If you do run again, you may find Pence running the party.
- Oh, you also have continued to ignore the exponentially increasing damage from the Covid-19 pandemic, while either golfing or still working on your coup.
- Well, with two weeks to go, I would probably run out of the alphabet, (which wordpress just converted to numbers), with your last ditch coup plans. We are especially worried about your calling up another demonstration for Inauguration Day.
- It’s 12:32 AM PST and Biden/Harris just got 271 electoral votes and WON the Election. Nobody in the House cheered. Incredible.
- The final vote was 306 to 232, as predictable. Called at 12:39 AM, by Amy Klobuchar, and Mike Pence at 12:41. Kudos to Mike Pence for doing his job. Kudos to the Congress for sticking with it, and standing up to the riot at the Capitol.
- Update: Nancy Pelosi has called on VP Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment, or the Congress may take up impeachment for sedition, no less.
- Update: Facebook has banned you for at least two weeks to the inauguration, and perhaps beyond. Instagram has followed suit.
- Update: Twitter has “permanently suspended” Trump’s Twitter account, with 88 million followers. A lot were probably just enjoying the counter comments. By the way, “permanently suspended” sounds like an oxymoron. He was suspended for “incitement to violence”. However, Trump is the most covered person on the planet, with his own White House Press Corp, so this is not that big a deal.
- Trump won’t attend Biden’s inauguration, which Biden thinks is just fine.
- People in your administration are leaving your stinking ship.
