Vaccination Rates in the 10 Largest States, and Among Seniors
It is reassuring that seniors in the largest states are getting highly vaccinated. The largest population states are also getting better vaccinated. The 10 largest states are also the 10 states with populations over 10 million. Their population totals 179.1 million, which is 54.6% of the US population of 328 million. The top four states, California, Texas, Florida, and New York, close to or over 20 million each, total 110.5 million, or 33.7%.

It looks like Seniors are not only older, but also wiser. It is also a response to danger, since they are the most attacked by the Covid-19 virus.
Los Angeles County has restored the indoor mask requirement to counter the rising Delta Variant. Here is their fully vaccinated record. We assume that 12+ means 12-18, and 18+ means 18-65.

Despite an 11% lower overall rate in Lee County than in Los Angeles County, the vulnerable 65+ rate is 7% higher in Lee County at 80%.
The complicated part about unvaccinated people responding to the Delta Variant now is that it requires three or four weeks to get the second shot, and another two weeks to build up full immunity. The Delta Variant is doubling or tripling cases every two weeks.
