March 5, Update on US, Canada, UK, Australia, and Africa Coronavirus Case

In major progress, the Senate passed the $8.3 billion Coronavirus bill which was already passed by the House.

The US has a total of 233 cases, and 12 deaths.  Subtracting 45 Diamond Princess cases, there are 188 cases at large.  Yesterday it was 114.  The growth is 74 cases today.  The growth ratio is 74/114 = 65%.  Yesterday it was 42.5%, and the day before 33%.  This may be mainly that there are more tests, up from 500 to 1500, or so.

Kings County, WA is the largest outbreak with 51 cases, 1R (recovered) and 10 Deaths among them.  That is a jump of 19 cases from 32 cases yesterday.

Next largest is Santa Clara, CA, with 20 cases and 1R, up from 14 yesterday.

Westchester Co., NY how has 18 cases, up from 10 yesterday.

Snohomish Co., WA, has 18 cases with 1 death, a jump from 8 yesterday.

Los Angeles, CA, now has 11 cases, up from 7 yesterday.

Orange Co., CA, and San Diego, CA, each have 3 cases.

California now has a total of 51 cases.  I don’t show the ones of 1 or 2 cases.

Chicago has 5 cases with 2R.

New York City has 4 cases.

There are 4 cases in Texas, and 4 in Florida.

Montgomery Co., MD, has 3 cases.

Canada has 37 cases, increasing by 3, with 6R.  BC has 13, Toronto 21, Montreal 2, and London, ON 1.

Mexico holds steady at 5 cases with 1R.

Africa has 29 cases, led by Algeria 17, Senegal 4, Egypt 3, Morocco 2, Nigeria 1, Tunisia 1, and South Africa 1.

Australia has 59 cases with 21R and 2 deaths.  

New South Wales leads with 26 cases and 4R.

Queensland has 13 with 8R.

Melbourne has 10 with 7R.

S. Australia has 7 with 2R.

Western Australia has 3 with 1 death.

New Zealand has 4 cases.
