I currently work at the Study Abroad Center on campus as a Peer Advisor, helping students start the application process while sharing stories from my experience studying in a foreign country. I am also involved with UNICEF and Teachers of Tomorrow.
I previously immersed myself in Spanish culture while studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. I lived with a Spanish family who introduced me to delicious food, and I took five classes in Spanish at a local university. It was the most challenging and rewarding experience of my college career!
While I was living so far away from home, I realized that I had the ability to adapt to new environments. I needed to step outside of my comfort zone to discover my strengths and weaknesses.
I am excited to disconnect from the world while in Costa Rica. I can’t wait to put my technological devices away and enjoy my beautiful surroundings! I will learn how to live in an eco-friendly environment.
