Once I started at UCI, I became very involved in sustainability in academics, organizations, and my own life. After two and a half years of learning and gaining experiences in sustainability efforts on campus, I have a great background in these issues. I work on campus at the UCI Environment Institute as a Special Projects Assistant. I’ve had the opportunity to work on co-curricular sustainability education projects on campus, and I greatly enjoy sharing the things I know and learning new things about sustainability. The Costa Rica Program will be the first hands-on experience I will have with sustainability outside the US. The thing I am most excited about the Costa Rica Program is bringing back everything we have learned and sharing it with others. I’m excited to be leading this great group of people and watching everyone grow and learn throughout the program.
